How Old Is North West? Age, Birthday and Music Career (2026)

North West is 13 years old. She was born on June 15, 2013, in Los Angeles, according to Wikipedia, and her mother Kim Kardashian marked her 13th birthday publicly on Instagram this June, as People reported. She will turn 14 on June 15, 2027.

North is the eldest of the four children Kim Kardashian shares with Kanye West (now known as Ye). She has been photographed since infancy, and since 2024 she has had a music career of her own. This page sticks to what her family has shared publicly and what reputable outlets have reported. It does not estimate any money of her own, because no reliable source has published such a figure for a 13-year-old.

North West's age and birthday at a glance

The birth details come from Wikipedia's entry on her, which cites the birth certificate as reported by CBS News in 2013. Her due date had been July 12, 2013, so she arrived almost four weeks early and spent time in an incubator.

How old were Kim Kardashian and Kanye West when North was born?

Kim Kardashian was born on October 21, 1980 (Wikipedia), which made her 32 when North was born in June 2013. Kanye West was born on June 8, 1977 (Wikipedia), so he had turned 36 one week before his daughter's birth.

The couple got engaged in October 2013, four months after North arrived, and married in May 2014. Kardashian filed for divorce in February 2021, and the divorce was finalized in November 2022, People notes. North was nine at the time.

North West's siblings and their ages

North is the oldest of four. People gave the siblings' ages in September 2026 as follows:

• North West, 13 (born June 15, 2013)
• Saint West, 10
• Chicago West, 8
• Psalm West, 7

North and Chicago appeared together on "Bomb," a track from the 2024 album Vultures 2 by Ye and Ty Dolla Sign's duo ¥$. North and Saint also voiced characters alongside their mother in Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie (2023).

Is North West older than Blue Ivy?

No. Blue Ivy Carter, the eldest daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, was born on January 7, 2012, according to Wikipedia. That makes Blue Ivy about 17 months older than North. As of September 2026, Blue Ivy is 14 and North is 13.

The two are often compared because both are children of music stars who started performing in public at a young age. Deadline drew that comparison in May 2024, when North's Lion King concert booking was announced shortly after Blue Ivy was cast in Mufasa: The Lion King.

What North has done so far: a timeline

The dates and chart positions above come from her Wikipedia entry, Rolling Stone and People.

North West's music career in 2026

Rolling Stone reported in February 2026 that North had signed with Gamma, the independent music company founded by former Apple executive Larry Jackson. Gamma also partnered with her father for his album Bully. Her single "Piercing on My Hand" came out on February 6, after she first performed it with Ye in Mexico City in January.

Her six-track debut EP, N0rth4evr, followed on May 1, 2026, when she was 12. Dazed described it as a mix of rage rap, emo, hyperpop and metal. She made her festival debut at Rolling Loud in Orlando in May and played her first solo festival set at Lyrical Lemonade's Summer Smash the weekend of her 13th birthday.

A co-headlining run with rapper Molly Santana, the Kimokawaii Tour, was scheduled for August 2026 but was canceled; no reason was given publicly. On September 5, she headlined The Vic Theatre in Chicago, with both parents in the audience, People reported.

In her autumn 2026 cover interview with Dazed, North said music is what she wants to do with her life. She also said a career in basketball, which she once talked about, is no longer the plan.

Does North West have her own money?

There is no reliable public figure for North West's personal earnings or net worth, and we do not publish one. She is a minor and the terms of her record deal and other work have not been made public. Pages that print a specific "North West net worth" are guessing.

What is on the record is limited to business filings made by her mother. Wikipedia notes that Kim Kardashian applied for trademarks in North's name in March 2023. Rolling Stone, citing People, reported in February 2026 that Kardashian had applied in January for trademarks for a fashion and accessories company called "NOR11." Neither filing says anything about revenue.

Her parents' finances are a separate matter and are well documented; see Kim Kardashian's net worth for the figures and their sources.
