Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Celebclan (“we”, “us”) collects when you use celebclan.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It is written for readers in the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area.

Who is responsible

Celebclan is operated by Akash Bhati, who is the data controller for the information described here. Contact: editor@celebclan.com.

What we collect

When you read the site

  • Technical data such as IP address, browser, device, pages requested and the referring page, recorded in server and network logs.
  • Analytics data collected by Google Analytics: pages viewed, time on page, approximate location (city level), device and browser, and how you arrived. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers. See the cookie policy.
  • Advertising data collected by Google AdSense and its partners, which may use cookies and device identifiers to show and measure ads, including personalised ads where the law allows or you have consented.
  • Your display preference for dark or light mode, stored only in your own browser.

When you comment

Your name, email address, comment, IP address and browser. Your email is never published. Comments are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a visitor is human.

When you email us

Your email address and whatever you choose to tell us.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we do not ask for payment details.

  • To deliver and secure the site, prevent abuse and fix problems — our legitimate interests.
  • To measure how the site is used (Google Analytics) — your consent in the UK and EEA; our legitimate interests elsewhere.
  • To show ads that fund the site (Google AdSense) — your consent for personalised ads in the UK and EEA; contextual ads rely on our legitimate interests.
  • To publish and moderate comments and reply to messages — our legitimate interests, and your request.
  • To meet legal obligations, such as responding to lawful requests.

Who we share it with

  • Cloudflare, which hosts our network edge, caches pages, blocks attacks and runs Turnstile.
  • Google, for analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (Google AdSense). Google may use information about your visits to this and other websites to provide its services. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
  • Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its database.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell personal information for money. Under some US state laws, allowing advertising partners to use cookies for targeted advertising can count as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; see Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.

  • Visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland are asked for consent before analytics or personalised advertising cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time using the “Privacy settings” link in the footer.
  • US visitors can opt out of targeted advertising using the same link, and we honour the Global Privacy Control signal sent by your browser.
  • You can manage personalised Google ads at Google Ads Settings and opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

International transfers

Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where UK or EEA law applies, transfers rely on adequacy regulations, the UK–US data bridge or standard contractual clauses used by those providers.

How long we keep it

  • Server and security logs: up to 30 days.
  • Comments: for as long as the comment is published, or until you ask us to delete it. Rejected and spam comments are deleted periodically.
  • Emails: up to two years, unless we need them longer to handle a dispute.
  • Google Analytics data: 14 months.

Your rights in the UK and EEA

You have the right to access your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.

Your rights in US states

If you live in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to access and receive a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale, sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising, and targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. California residents: in the past 12 months we collected identifiers (such as IP address), internet activity, approximate geolocation and, for commenters, name and email, for the purposes listed above.

Making a request

Email editor@celebclan.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We may ask for information to verify your identity, and we respond within the time the law requires (one month in the UK and EEA; 45 days under most US state laws). You may use an authorised agent where the law allows.

Children

Celebclan is a general audience site not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the UK and EEA), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
