T-Pain has a net worth of about $50 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth (page updated September 9, 2026). The biggest reason is a 2025 deal in which HarbourView Equity Partners bought his publishing catalog and some of his master recordings, a sale T-Pain himself has described as worth $100 million. It is a comeback figure: he has said he once had $40 million in the bank and lost nearly all of it.

Where T-Pain's money comes from

The catalog sale

On February 20, 2025, HarbourView announced it was buying T-Pain's publishing catalog and certain master rights, Billboard reported. No price was disclosed at the time. Later that year, on Shannon Sharpe's Club Shay Shay, T-Pain said the buyer had looked at what his songs earned each year and offered him roughly a century of that income up front, and he called it a $100 million deal, per Celebrity Net Worth.

That number is his own description, not an audited price, and a sale price is not the same as cash kept. Taxes, fees and the share of rights he did not own all reduce what reaches him. It is still the single largest payment of his career.

Recording and royalties

His early albums came out through Akon's Konvict label under a 2005 recording agreement. Epiphany (2007) debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Royalties from those records still flow: in the 2026 lawsuit described below, his lawyers said Sony's Zomba paid Konvict about $1.3 million in T-Pain royalties at the end of March 2026 alone, Digital Music News reported.

He also earned from features and songwriting. He sang on Flo Rida's "Low," which spent 10 weeks at No. 1, and won Grammys for Kanye West's "Good Life" and Jamie Foxx's "Blame It," according to Celebrity Net Worth. Pay for those features was not reported.

Touring

Live shows are the steady part of his income now. Celebrity Net Worth reports that four Red Rocks Amphitheatre shows over about a year sold more than 37,000 tickets and grossed over $3 million. His 2025 "TP20" tour marked 20 years since his debut album and included a Radio City Music Hall date. In September 2026 he was named a Friday headliner at the 2027 Coors Light Birds Nest at the WM Phoenix Open, alongside Snoop Dogg.

Nappy Boy businesses

T-Pain founded Nappy Boy Entertainment in 2005. The brand now covers a gaming and Twitch operation, the Nappy Boy Radio podcast and Nappy Boy Automotive, his drifting team. In September 2026 the tuning firm RTR showed off a 910-horsepower Mustang drift car built for Nappy Boy Automotive, Racer reported. None of these businesses reports revenue publicly.

Television

He won the first season of Fox's The Masked Singer in February 2019, performing as the Monster. The win revived interest in his voice without Auto-Tune, which his 2014 NPR Tiny Desk concert had started.

From $40 million to broke and back

Faheem Rashad Najm was born on September 30, 1984, in Tallahassee, Florida, according to Wikipedia. His stage name is short for "Tallahassee Pain."

The collapse is documented mostly in his own words. In a 2019 Breakfast Club interview he said the most he ever had in the bank at one time was $40 million. He blamed heavy spending, including a Bugatti Veyron reported at about $1.7 million, and real estate bets made by his manager that did not pay off, per Celebrity Net Worth. He said he reached the point of borrowing money to buy his children fast food and nearly lost his Atlanta home. In 2019, Deutsche Bank foreclosed on a Palm Beach County property, alleging no mortgage payments since July 2016.

The recovery came from touring, streaming, the Nappy Boy side businesses and finally the catalog sale, which turned uncertain future royalties into one large payment.

Recent changes (2025-2026): the Konvict royalty dispute

On September 4, 2026, T-Pain sued Konvict Entertainment, the label co-founded by Akon, in Fulton County Superior Court, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. It is his second suit against the company. The first, filed in 2018, ended in a 2025 settlement under which Konvict reportedly paid him over $110,000 for royalties through the end of 2024, according to Digital Music News.

The new complaint says:

  • His 2005 contract, as amended, gives him 75% of net royalties.
  • Zomba paid Konvict about $1.3 million in royalties from his albums in late March 2026.
  • In June, Konvict paid him $489,047, which the suit says was only half of his share, and told him to collect the other half from BuVision, a label run by Akon's brother Abou "Bu" Thiam.
  • BuVision did not pay, and T-Pain is seeking $489,047 plus interest from Konvict, the only defendant.

Konvict had not commented publicly as of the reports, and none of the claims has been tested in court. Akon is not named as a defendant. For T-Pain's net worth the sum is small, but the filing is useful evidence: it shows his early albums still generate seven figures a year in royalties two decades later.

Assets

  • Business headquarters. After the catalog sale he bought a building of about 50,000 square feet to house recording, podcasting, gaming, merchandise and automotive work, per Celebrity Net Worth. The price was not reported.
  • Private plane. He also bought a private plane after the sale, the same outlet says. Model and cost were not disclosed.
  • Homes. He paid $1.32 million in 2007 for a house in the Winfield on the River community in Duluth, Georgia, and has valued an Atlanta home he nearly lost at about $6 million.
  • Cars. A large car collection, including drift cars for Nappy Boy Automotive.
  • Remaining music rights. HarbourView bought "select" masters, so some recordings and his future output still belong to him or his labels.

T-Pain's net worth compared

Figures are Celebrity Net Worth estimates, checked September 2026.

ArtistConnectionNet worth
T-Pain-$50 million
AkonSigned him to Konvict in 2004$50 million
Flo Rida"Low" featuring T-Pain$50 million

The three land on the same estimate by different routes: Akon through his label and business ventures, Flo Rida through a run of global pop singles, and T-Pain mainly through selling his rights. Among other rappers and singers on this site, Ice Cube shows how far film and business can take a rap career, and Summer Walker and NF show the independent, streaming-era route T-Pain has also leaned on.

Why estimates differ

Estimates for T-Pain run from about $20 million on older pages to $45 million on Alux and $50 million on Celebrity Net Worth. The spread comes from three open questions.

  1. The real catalog price. HarbourView never confirmed a number. T-Pain's "$100 million" came from a podcast conversation, and reports after it called the figure rumored.
  2. What he kept. Taxes on a lump-sum sale, advisers' fees and his spending on a building and a plane all come out of that sum.
  3. Private businesses. Nappy Boy's gaming, podcast and automotive operations publish no accounts.

Given his history, the safest reading is that his wealth is now concentrated in cash from the sale, property and his operating businesses, and that Celebrity Net Worth's $50 million is a reasonable midpoint rather than a precise count.

Frequently asked questions

What is T-Pain's net worth?

Celebrity Net Worth estimates T-Pain's net worth at about $50 million as of its September 9, 2026 update. The biggest factor is the 2025 sale of his publishing catalog and select masters to HarbourView Equity Partners, which he has described as a $100 million deal, plus touring and his Nappy Boy businesses.

How much money did T-Pain make?

No full earnings record exists. T-Pain has said the most he ever had in the bank at once was $40 million, before bad spending and real estate losses. His 2025 catalog sale, which he called a $100 million deal, is the largest single payment he has discussed publicly.

Who is rapper T-Pain married to?

T-Pain has been married to Amber Najm since 2003, and the couple have three children, according to Celebrity Net Worth. He has said that long-term security for his wife and children was one of his main reasons for selling his music catalog in 2025.

Why is T-Pain suing Akon's label?

In September 2026 T-Pain sued Konvict Entertainment in Fulton County, Georgia, claiming it owes him $489,047 in royalties. He says the label received about $1.3 million from Zomba in March 2026 but paid him only half his 75% share. Konvict had not commented, and the claims are unproven.

Did T-Pain sell his music catalog?

Yes. HarbourView Equity Partners announced on February 20, 2025, that it was buying T-Pain's publishing catalog and certain master recordings, Billboard reported. The price was not disclosed, but T-Pain later said the offer was about 100 years of his catalog income paid up front and called it a $100 million deal.

How much does T-Pain make from touring?

Full touring totals are not public. Celebrity Net Worth reports that four of his Red Rocks Amphitheatre shows over about a year sold more than 37,000 tickets and grossed over $3 million. He is also booked as a 2027 Coors Light Birds Nest headliner in Phoenix.
