Cayman Kelly Net Worth 2026: ESPN Voice and SiriusXM Host

No reputable outlet has published a net worth estimate for Cayman Kelly, so this page does not give one. The $6.3 million figure on an earlier version of this page had no source and has been removed. His income comes from two decades as a SiriusXM radio host and from voice-over contracts, most visibly as an imaging voice for ESPN Radio, Monday Night Football and ESPN's NBA coverage.

What is Cayman Kelly's net worth?

No business publication or wealth tracker has estimated it. Voice-over artists and radio hosts are paid through private contracts, and none of Kelly's deal values have been published. His 2020 memoir is titled From $6 an Hour to a Million Dollar Dream, but the title describes his career path, not a disclosed fortune (PR Newswire).

What can be documented is the list of clients behind his earnings: SiriusXM, ESPN Audio, ESPN's Monday Night Football and NBA broadcasts, the NHL, BET, several cable networks and a long list of radio stations. That list is covered below.

Cayman Kelly's yearly earnings, monthly income and salary

His pay is not public. Earlier versions of this page listed $250,000 a year, $20,000 a month and $694 a day. Those numbers had no source and have been removed. Imaging voices, the people who read a network's promos, show opens and station IDs, are usually paid per contract or per season, and Kelly's press releases describe renewals season by season rather than salary figures.

His main income streams, as reported:

• Radio hosting: a weekday show on SiriusXM's Heart & Soul channel. In 2015 the New Pittsburgh Courier listed his shift as noon to 6 p.m. Eastern on channel 48 (New Pittsburgh Courier).
• Sports imaging: ESPN Audio from August 2020, ESPN's Monday Night Football, and the NBA on ESPN from the 2022-23 season.
• TV promos and station imaging: BET, TV Land, TV One, Bounce TV and Cartoon Network, plus radio stations including POWER 105.1 in New York.
• Games, animation and events: a voice in Grand Theft Auto V, an appearance in the animated series Dicktown, and hosting work on tours and at large festivals.
• Book sales: his memoir, published in 2020.

Professional life

ESPN's own press release, dated July 30, 2020, says Kelly started in voice-over as the voice of BET and its digital networks, then voiced promos for TV Land, TV One, Bounce TV and Cartoon Network (ESPN Press Room). He became the imaging voice for radio stations across the country, including POWER 105.1 in New York and the syndicated morning show The Breakfast Club. ESPN also noted his work on Grand Theft Auto V and on tours with Usher, Mary J. Blige, Wiz Khalifa, Boyz II Men and Bruno Mars. From August 2020 he became a voice across ESPN Radio's lineup, podcasts and live events.

In satellite radio, Kelly says he first supplied third-party content to XM in 2001 and was hired by XM as a music director in early 2004. That places him among the original on-air staff before the Sirius and XM merger (PR Newswire, 2023). He has hosted on Heart & Soul since, interviewing R&B and soul artists.

In October 2022 he announced a contract to serve as the national imaging voice of the NBA on ESPN for the 2022-23 season, covering preseason, show opens, billboards and sponsor elements (PR Newswire). By then he was also working on NHL coverage.

Career timeline

Early life and family

Kelly comes from the Washington, D.C., radio market. He told the New Pittsburgh Courier that he caught the radio bug at 15, when a WPGC on-air host named Albie Dee heard his voice, said he sounded older than his age, and encouraged him to pursue broadcasting. He named the late WHUR host Melvin Lindsey, creator of the Quiet Storm format, as an early influence.

Earlier versions of this page said he was born into a family of voice artists. No source supports that, and it has been removed.

Cayman Kelly's wife

Kelly is married to Dr. Kamilah Gilmore Kelly, a practicing physician and author of The Engagement, a journal for organizing medical appointments (PR Newswire, March 2023). An earlier version of this page named a different person as his wife; no source supports that, and it has been corrected. The couple have children; he has described starting at XM the week after his first child was born.

In January 2022 Kelly had an ischemic stroke. He told EURweb that his wife recognized the symptoms and drove him to the emergency room (EURweb). He made a full recovery and has since spoken publicly about men getting regular health checks.

Education

His schooling is not publicly documented. An earlier version of this page said he earned undergraduate and master's degrees at Frostburg State University in Maryland; we could find no source for this, so it has been removed.

Age, height and weight

A January 2023 release said Kelly had recently celebrated his 50th birthday (PR Newswire), and the New Pittsburgh Courier gave his age as 42 in December 2015. That puts his birth in 1972, making him 53 or 54 in 2026. His height and weight are not publicly documented. Earlier claims on this page about his height, weight and "50 years in the industry" had no source and have been removed.

Net worth compared

Kelly's career is closest to other radio and audio personalities on this site, such as radio host Amy Moffett Brown and DJ Trucker. As with Kelly, no reputable outlet publishes a verified net worth for either.

Why no estimate is given

Voice-over and radio contracts are private. ESPN, SiriusXM and the NBA do not disclose what they pay imaging voices or hosts, and Kelly has not published his earnings. Most of the details about his deals come from press releases issued on his behalf, which describe the work but not the money. Without contract values or property records, any net worth figure would be a guess.
