No reputable outlet has published an estimate of Alan Sackman's net worth. The $11.8 million figure that appeared on earlier versions of this page had no source, so it has been removed. What can be documented is his business: Sackman is the founder and CEO of Sackman Enterprises, a New York developer of high-end housing whose projects run from Manhattan's Upper West Side to Austin, Texas, and the New Jersey shore.

What is Alan Sackman's net worth?

There is no figure from Forbes, Bloomberg, Celebrity Net Worth or a major newspaper. Sackman Enterprises is privately held, and it does not publish revenue, debt or the size of its portfolio. Real estate developers usually hold their projects through separate partnerships and LLCs, often with outside investors and bank loans, so the value of the buildings says little about how much equity the founder personally owns.

Rather than repeat a made-up number, this page sets out what the public record shows about the projects he and his company have built.

Sackman Enterprises: what the company does

Sackman Enterprises develops and converts residential buildings, with ground-floor retail in some of its newer projects. A 2020 report by KVUE described it as a New York high-end real estate developer and named Alan Sackman as its founder and CEO. An Austin community outlet, The Austin Common, quoted him in 2015 as the chairman of the company's executive board.

The company is a family business. His grandson, Carter "CJ" Sackman Jr., was named alongside him in the Austin litigation described below, and a Carter Sackman has served as president of Sackman Enterprises and led its New Jersey work, according to ROI-NJ.

Career and major projects

Condominium conversions in New Jersey

A 2011 New Jersey appeals court decision, published on Justia, describes Alan Sackman as the owner of Sackman Enterprises, which was the principal owner and limited partner of Manhattan Skyline. In the late 1980s that partnership bought an apartment building in Union City, New Jersey, and converted it into a 125-unit condominium. The case, brought by the condominium association over a basement laundry room, was decided in favor of the developer's side on appeal.

Turks and Caicos

In 2003, the magazine Times of the Islands reported that Sackman had joined The Somerset, a beachfront condominium resort planned on Grace Bay in Providenciales, as a major shareholder. The article said he had known the islands for years and brought decades of experience in residential development.

Asbury Park, New Jersey

The company's longest-running regional push has been Asbury Park. Carter Sackman told ROI-NJ in 2021 that the firm entered that market about twenty years earlier, focusing on vacant space along Cookman Avenue. Within about ten years, he said, Sackman and affiliated entities had created about 400 homes and roughly 100,000 square feet of retail space in the city.

70 Rainey Street, Austin

In Austin, Sackman Enterprises built the high-rise condominium at 70 Rainey Street. In 2015 the company proposed to build a $300,000 pocket park on a city-owned lot next door and donate $100,000 to the Mexican American Cultural Center in exchange for using the lot as a staging area, The Austin Common reported. Some local residents opposed the deal, and Sackman said at the meeting that the company was willing to work with the neighborhood.

Baypoint, Keansburg

In October 2021 Sackman Enterprises broke ground on Baypoint, a waterfront redevelopment on Carr and Beachway avenues in Keansburg, New Jersey. According to ROI-NJ, the plan calls for 700 luxury apartments, more than 45,000 square feet of restaurant, entertainment and retail space, and over 1,000 parking spaces. The first phase, 19 Carr, has 50 apartments and 4,000 square feet of commercial space. The company said it had secured a $15 million bond to help pay for streetscape and boardwalk work.

Lawsuits

In August 2020, the law firm Kasowitz Benson Torres filed a suit on behalf of a buyer and a proposed class of about 160 other purchasers at 70 Rainey, KVUE reported. The suit named Sackman Enterprises, Alan Sackman and his grandson among the defendants, alleged construction defects such as uneven floors and bowed walls, and sought damages in the hundreds of millions of dollars. These were allegations; KVUE did not report a response from the defendants, and this page found no reported outcome.

In Keansburg, the owners of Keansburg Amusement Park sued the state, the borough and the borough manager in early 2024 to stop a municipal parking lot used by park visitors from being turned into beachfront apartments, the Asbury Park Press reported. Carter Sackman said the firm's aim was to improve the amusement area, not remove it.

Recent activity (2025–2026)

The company remains active in Manhattan. The Real Deal reported that on December 1, 2025, a sponsor unit at Sackman Enterprises' 15 West 96th Street sold for $5.9 million, the top residential deal recorded in New York City that day. The three-bedroom unit measures almost 2,700 square feet.

Personal life

Earlier versions of this page gave his age, height, weight, a wife's name and a claim that he was a professional sportsman. None of it could be confirmed in a reliable source, so it has been removed. His education and early life are not publicly documented in any source this page could verify, and this page does not publish contact details.

How he compares

Why there is no figure

A net worth estimate for a private developer needs his share of each project, the debt on each building and the value of units still unsold. None of that is public for Sackman Enterprises. Sale prices such as the $5.9 million unit on West 96th Street show the scale of the projects, but not what the family keeps after lenders and partners are paid. Until a reputable publisher reports a figure, the honest answer is that his wealth comes from decades of residential development and cannot be pinned to a number.
