How Old Is Salish Matter? Age, Birthday and 2026 Career

Salish Matter is 16 years old. She was born on November 29, 2009, in Nyack, New York, according to Wikipedia, and she turns 17 on November 29, 2026. TIME, Variety and Marketing Dive all described her as 16 in their 2026 coverage, which matches that birth date.

She is the daughter of photographer and YouTuber Jordan Matter and first appeared in his videos as a preteen. In 2026 she has a Netflix deal with her father, a place on the TIME100 Creators list and a skincare brand sold at Sephora. Because she is a minor, this page sticks to facts her family and reputable outlets have made public and does not publish any estimate of her personal wealth.

Salish Matter's age and birthday at a glance

Is Salish Matter really 16?

Yes. It is one of the most common questions about her, partly because an episode of the family's videos is listed under the title "Salish Turns 21 Years Old," which does not reflect her real age. Her birth year is 2009, and every major outlet that covered her in 2026 gives her age as 16:

• Variety, reporting the Netflix deal in February 2026, called her 16-year-old Salish.
• TIME, naming her to the TIME100 Creators list in July 2026, described her as 16.
• Marketing Dive, covering her Chipotle promotion in August 2026, called her a 16-year-old internet star.

She will stay 16 until her birthday in late November 2026.

How old was Salish at each step?

Dates come from her Wikipedia entry and the outlets linked in this article.

Her family: Jordan, Lauren and Hudson Matter

Salish is the daughter of Jordan Matter and his wife, Lauren Matter, and has an older brother, Hudson. Jordan is a photographer with two New York Times bestselling photography books, Variety notes. He started including a preteen Salish in his photography vlogs, and the channel grew into a family challenge format.

By February 2026 the shared Salish and Jordan channel had 34.1 million subscribers and 13.3 billion total views, Variety reported. Their videos often feature challenges and celebrity guests such as MrBeast, Paris Hilton and Khloé Kardashian.

What Salish Matter is doing in 2026

Netflix series with her father

In February 2026, Variety reported that Salish and Jordan had signed an exclusive deal with Netflix covering scripted, unscripted and animated projects, plus consumer products and live experiences. Their back catalog is also set to move to the platform. The series Salish & Jordan Matter was released later in 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed.

TIME100 Creators

TIME put her on its 2026 TIME100 Creators list in July. The profile cited nearly 5 million Instagram followers, more than 4 million YouTube subscribers on her personal channel and about 8 million on TikTok. It also noted that her popularity has drawn criticism from people who question whether children should chase social media fame.

Sincerely Yours skincare

She launched Sincerely Yours, a skincare line aimed at tweens and teens and sold through Sephora, in September 2025. The launch event at the American Dream Mall in New Jersey drew so many fans that it was shut down early; TIME put the crowd at around 80,000. Marketing Dive describes her as the brand's co-founder.

Chipotle and film work

In August 2026, Chipotle turned her usual order into a limited-time, digital-only Kid's Meal, the first time the chain has done that with a creator. Marketing Dive reported that she is the youngest creator to get a named digital order at the chain. On the film side, she was announced in 2025 as part of the voice cast of The Angry Birds Movie 3, alongside MrBeast, Jason Sudeikis and Josh Gad; the film is scheduled for the 2026 holiday season.

Salish Matter's age compared with other young stars

Salish is part of a generation of teenagers who grew up on camera. For comparison:

• North West, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's eldest daughter, is 13 and released her first EP in 2026.
• Kai Cenat, is an adult creator who also built his following through online video.

Salish is roughly three and a half years older than North West; both have parents who put them in front of cameras before they were teenagers, and both have now turned that into work under their own names.

Does Salish Matter have her own net worth figure?

We do not publish one. She is 16, and the terms of the Netflix deal, the Sephora partnership and the Chipotle promotion have not been made public. Any "Salish Matter net worth" number online is an estimate of a minor's finances built on guesses about contracts nobody has disclosed. What is on the record is the scale of the business: the channel audience Variety reported, the brand deals listed above and the TIME100 recognition.

How this page was put together

Her birth date comes from Wikipedia and is consistent with the age given by Variety, TIME and Marketing Dive at separate points in 2026. Her current age is calculated from that date as of September 25, 2026. We left out rumors about her relationships and other personal topics that appear in search suggestions, since neither she nor her family has addressed them publicly and she is a minor. We also chose not to use photos of her on this page.
