In this article
Aron Marquez is a Mexican-born Texas entrepreneur who built a career in oilfield services, co-founded Flecha Azul Tequila with pro golfer Abraham Ancer, and sits on the board of Permian Resources, a large publicly traded oil and gas producer. No reputable outlet has published an estimate of his net worth. The figure of $2.07 million that appeared on this page before had no stated source, and the page also presented the same number as his yearly income, which made no sense; both have been removed.
What is Aron Marquez's net worth?
There is no figure from Forbes, Bloomberg or the Texas business press. His main businesses, an oilfield tools company and a spirits brand, are private, and their revenue and his ownership stakes have not been reported. His board seat at Permian Resources means his dealings in that company's stock are disclosed to the SEC, but those holdings show only part of his wealth. This page therefore does not give a number.

Where his money comes from
- Oilfield services. Permian Basin Oil and Gas Magazine has covered him as CEO of Midland-based Wildcat Oil Tools, a downhole tools company, according to its archive.
- Flecha Azul Tequila. He co-founded the brand with Abraham Ancer; actor Mark Wahlberg joined in 2022. Flecha Azul is sold by Dallas-based WES Brands, Dallas Innovates reported.
- Public company board. He is an independent director of Permian Resources and was re-elected at its 2026 annual meeting to serve until 2027, according to a summary of the vote. Directors of large U.S. companies are paid in cash and stock, though the amount for him was not in the sources we checked.
The previous version's yearly income of $2.07 million, with monthly and daily breakdowns, had no source and has been removed.
Early life
Marquez was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, one of four children, and moved to the United States with his family at 11, Newsweek reported in a 2020 profile. His father worked construction in American oil fields for much of his childhood, and his mother sewed Levi's jeans in a factory. The family settled in Coyanosa, Texas, where he remembers long days picking onions in the heat.
As a teenager who did not yet speak English, he talked his way out of a separate Spanish-language class so he could learn English and play soccer, and he started his first business: selling lawn-mowing jobs door to door while friends did the mowing, and splitting the money.
Education
Marquez told The Spirits Business in 2024 that he and Ancer both graduated from Odessa College in Texas and from the same university in Oklahoma. The earlier version of this page did not cover his education.
Flecha Azul Tequila
| Year | Milestone | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 2016 | Brand first conceived | Forbes |
| 2019 | Company co-founded by Marquez and Ancer | Dallas Innovates |
| 2020 | Reaches the U.S. market | Forbes |
| 2022 | Mark Wahlberg joins | Dallas Innovates, The Spirits Business |
| 2023 | Expands into Mexico resort markets | Dallas Innovates |
Marquez and Ancer met at a golf pro-am and bonded over tequila from home, Marquez told The Spirits Business. They partnered with the Orendain family distillery in Jalisco, one of the old tequila families, and launched five expressions at once, from Blanco to an Extra Añejo that Forbes said retailed at around $350. In a 2021 Forbes interview he explained that the name means "blue arrow," an arrow that must be pulled back before it can fly forward, which he tied to his own path as an immigrant.
Forbes described the range as an unaged Blanco, a reposado rested six months in ex-bourbon barrels, an 18-month añejo, a charcoal-filtered Añejo Cristalino and an Extra Añejo aged just over three years. Marquez pitched it as ultra-premium, a tier that generally starts around $50 a bottle.
In 2023 the brand expanded to Mexican resort markets including Acapulco, Cabo, Mazatlán, Riviera Maya and Vallarta, and WES Brands said sales were running ahead of plan.
Oil and gas
Marquez's roots in the oil patch run through West Texas: his father worked in the oil fields, and he went to college in Odessa. At Permian Resources' May 2026 annual meeting, the ten directors re-elected each received between roughly 612 million and 674 million votes in favor.
Personal life
The earlier version of this page included generic text about family trips and a father who was an "oil and gas investor," which conflicts with Newsweek's account of his father as an oilfield construction worker. It also listed an age, height and weight without any source. Those details have been removed.

Why no figure is given
Marquez's companies are private, his tequila brand's sales are not published, and his public-company stake is only one piece of his holdings. Until a reputable outlet publishes an estimate, his net worth is unknown.
