No reputable outlet publishes a net worth figure for Dilli Adhikari, so this page does not give one. He owns home care agencies in Pennsylvania and Ohio, chiefly Intra-National Home Care and Americare Healthcare Services, which mainly serve Nepali-speaking families. In January 2025 a federal court ordered Americare and Adhikari to pay about $15 million in back overtime wages and damages, and an appeals court upheld the underlying rule in April 2026.
What Is Dilli Adhikari's Net Worth?
An earlier version of this page said Adhikari was worth $6.3 million. We could not find that figure, or any other, from a business publication or wealth ranking, so it has been removed. His companies are private and do not publish revenue or profit.
Two public facts bear on his finances, pulling in opposite directions. His agencies are sizable employers: the back-wage award alone covered overtime owed to Americare's home care aides over four and a half years, from October 2019 to April 2024. At the same time, that award, $7,478,820.79 in back wages plus an equal amount in liquidated damages, totals $14,957,641.58, according to NepYork, which quoted the court order. Whether the company had paid that amount, or how it was funded, has not been reported.

Dilli Adhikari's Yearly Earnings, Monthly Income and Salary
The old page listed yearly earnings of $250,000, monthly income of $21,000 and daily income of $700. There was no source for those numbers, and they have been removed. Adhikari's pay as owner of private agencies is not disclosed.
One figure that is public comes from his charity: the 2020 IRS Form 990 of the Intra-National Welfare and Support Foundation of America, where he is listed as president, shows he took no compensation from it, according to ProPublica's nonprofit database.
Early Life and Background
Adhikari is a Nepali-speaking Bhutanese American and a former refugee, as NepYork describes him. His businesses and his charity work are centered on Nepali-speaking communities in central Ohio and the Harrisburg area of Pennsylvania, where his companies and foundation are based.
The old page gave his age as 37, his height as 5 feet 8 inches and his weight as 72 kg, and described a childhood interest in medicine and a university degree. None of that has a published source, and it has been removed. It also referred to a wife; no reliable source names his spouse, so we do not.
Professional Life: Intra-National Home Care and Americare
Intra-National Home Care
Intra-National Home Care LLC provides non-medical in-home care: companionship, personal care and help with daily tasks. The Better Business Bureau lists its Harrisburg office at East Park Drive, with a business start date of September 9, 2014, 12 years in business, and an A+ rating (the company is not BBB-accredited). The old page described it as a medical home care business offering emergency medical care; that was wrong, and the business describes itself as non-medical.
Americare Healthcare Services
Adhikari also owns Americare Healthcare Services, which operates only in Ohio. According to HR Director (HCAMag), it serves elderly and disabled clients through Ohio's Medicaid waiver programs. All of its workers are live-in caregivers, and between 95 and 99.9 percent of them care for their own family members, because many clients in the Nepali community prefer care from relatives.
Legal Cases
Adhikari's companies have been involved in several federal cases over how home care workers are paid. All of the following are matters of public court record, as reported by the sources linked.
| Year | Case | Outcome |
|---|---|---|
| 2019 | Mishra et al. v. Intra-National Home Care, LLC et al. (M.D. Pa.), a Fair Labor Standards Act suit naming Adhikari and the company | Dismissed with prejudice in October 2019 after the court approved the parties' joint stipulation |
| 2020–2022 | Intra-National Home Care and Americare v. U.S. Department of Labor (W.D. Pa.), challenging the DOL's home care overtime rule | Dismissed with prejudice in July 2022 |
| 2021–2025 | Department of Labor v. Americare and Adhikari (federal court in Ohio), over unpaid overtime | Summary judgment for the DOL in January 2025; about $15 million in back wages and damages |
| 2026 | Appeal to the Sixth Circuit | DOL rule upheld on April 1, 2026 |
The 2019 case, recorded on GovInfo, involved claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and the settlement terms were not published. In the 2020 case, Justia's copy of the opinion shows the two companies and a third agency arguing that a 2013 DOL regulation, which bars third-party agencies from claiming the companionship and live-in exemptions from overtime, conflicted with the law. The judge dismissed the claims.
The largest case began in October 2021, when the DOL sued Americare and Adhikari. The department said Americare paid no overtime from October 2018 to September 2019, and afterwards changed each worker's hourly rate based on hours worked so that average pay stayed the same however many hours were logged. In January 2025 Judge Edmund A. Sargus Jr. ruled for the DOL, ordering the back wages and an equal amount in damages. In February 2025, after reviewing newer payroll records, the DOL told the court it found no continuing violations after April 2024, so no further amount was owed, NepYork reported.
On appeal, the Sixth Circuit upheld the 2013 rule on April 1, 2026, in an opinion by Judge Jane B. Stranch. It held that the Supreme Court's 2024 Loper Bright decision did not undo the DOL's express power to define these exemptions. HCAMag noted the court's finding that an attorney had advised Adhikari in early 2018 to pay Americare workers overtime, and that he already paid overtime to staff at Intra-National Home Care. Judge John K. Bush agreed with the result but wrote separately to criticize the precedent the court relied on.
Community Work and Recent Activity (2024–2026)
Outside his businesses, Adhikari is known in the Nepali diaspora as the president of the Intra-National Welfare and Support Foundation of America, a Columbus, Ohio, charity. Its 2020 Form 990 reported $447,849 in revenue, all from contributions. The foundation runs Nepali cultural programs:
- In January 2024 it hosted a cultural event in Philadelphia with Nepali, Cambodian and Burmese artists, including students from the Intra Dance School in Harrisburg, Nepal News reported.
- In January 2025 Adhikari opened auditions in Columbus for the second season of the singing and dancing contests Mero Voice Universe and Mero Dance Universe, which offer top prizes of Rs 10 million each and hold auditions in 14 cities across 12 countries, according to Khabarhub. The foundation covers finalists' travel to Nepal.
- In November 2025, speaking as chair of the Association of Nepali Origin, he urged Nepal's government to recognize people of Nepali origin living abroad, The Rising Nepal reported.
Net Worth Compared
Few home care owners have published net worth figures, which puts Adhikari alongside other private health-sector founders on this site such as Dr. Larry Caplin. You may also like Dr. Jay Calvert and Ash Mufareh.
Why There Is No Reliable Estimate
Adhikari's companies are private, most of their revenue comes from state Medicaid programs whose payments to individual agencies are not reported in the sources we checked, and the roughly $15 million judgment is a large liability whose payment status is not public. Without figures for revenue, profit, ownership and debts, there is no honest way to estimate his wealth. We will add a figure if a reputable outlet publishes one.
