No publication has put a figure on Brint Ryan's personal net worth, but the value of the company he founded is now public: in January 2026 a minority investment from Neuberger Berman valued Ryan LLC, the Dallas-area tax services firm, at about $7 billion. Ryan founded the firm in 1991, still runs it as chairman and CEO, and has used his family office to buy hotels, radio stations and the Mr Gatti's Pizza chain in Texas.
What is Brint Ryan's net worth?
Forbes and Bloomberg do not list Brint Ryan, and he has not disclosed how much of Ryan LLC he still owns. Three outside investors have bought minority stakes over the years, so his share is less than 100%, but the exact split is private. For that reason we do not print a number.
The valuation history shows why his wealth is likely large. According to Consulting.us, citing Bloomberg News, Onex Partners invested in 2018 when Ryan was valued at $1.1 billion, Ares Management invested in 2022 at a $2.5 billion valuation, and Neuberger Berman agreed in January 2026 to invest up to $1.2 billion at a valuation of roughly $7 billion. All three are minority shareholders, which indicates that Ryan and other insiders still control the company.

Where the money comes from
Ryan LLC
Ryan advises companies on taxes, with particular strength in indirect taxes such as sales and use tax, and property tax. Wikipedia describes it as the largest indirect and property tax practice in North America as of 2022, with more than $700 million in annual revenue and 113 locations in countries including Canada, the United Kingdom, India, Australia and Singapore. Texas Monthly reported in 2013 that the firm was recovering more than $1 billion a year in overpaid taxes for clients such as Walmart, Tyson Foods and ExxonMobil.
OneRyan Global, the family office
Ryan's wife, Amanda Ryan, founded OneRyan Global in 2018 as the family office. Radio World describes its interests as real estate, hospitality, private equity and philanthropy. Recent purchases include:
- Mr Gatti's Pizza: in January 2026 OneRyan acquired a controlling interest in the Fort Worth-based pizza and entertainment chain, with Brint Ryan as chairman and Amanda Ryan as vice chairwoman of the board. The Dallas Business Journal reported in August 2026 that he had completed a full buyout. Terms were not disclosed.
- KBest Media: Ryan Media, a OneRyan subsidiary, agreed to buy the Big Spring radio stations KBST-FM, KBTS and KBST AM, pending FCC approval. It was the family's first broadcast purchase.
- Hotel Settles: Ryan bought the derelict 15-story hotel in his hometown of Big Spring for $75,000 and spent six years and about $30 million restoring it before it reopened in December 2012.

Early life and family
George Brinton Ryan was born in Big Spring, Texas, into a family that Texas Monthly says arrived in the area as pioneers in the 19th century. His first jobs were delivering the Big Spring Herald and bagging groceries at Safeway. He married Amanda Sutton, now Amanda Ryan, and Wikipedia lists five children.
The previous version of this page said he was born into privilege, helped buy the Texas Rangers and served as the team's chairman. We found no support for any of that, and the Rangers claim appears to confuse him with someone else, so it has been removed. The unsourced income table and his supposed height and weight are also gone.
Assets and public life
Texas Monthly reported in 2013 that Ryan owned a $10 million estate in Dallas's Preston Hollow neighborhood, had spent heavily on political contributions and ran an unsuccessful campaign for Dallas City Council in 2009. In Big Spring he also bought four city blocks, including the Ritz movie theater. He has served on the UNT System Board of Regents since his appointment by Governor Rick Perry in 2009.
Net worth compared
Ryan started his career at the firm that became PwC, where Bob Moritz later rose to global chairman; the difference is that Ryan owns his firm rather than being a partner in one. Other business profiles include Brock Milstein and Brooklyn Johnny.
Why estimates differ
A company valuation is not the same as personal wealth. Ryan's share of the $7 billion figure depends on how much equity he sold to Onex, Ares and Neuberger Berman, and on debt and preferred terms that are not public. His family office holdings, from Mr Gatti's to the Hotel Settles, add value but were bought on undisclosed terms. Any site that quotes an exact number for him without explaining those unknowns is guessing. The documented facts point to a founder whose company has grown more than sixfold in value since 2018.
