No reputable outlet has published a net worth for Beth Galetti, and the $52.8 million figure on the old version of this page had no source, so it has been removed. Galetti is Amazon's senior vice president of People Experience and Technology, the head of human resources for a company with more than 1.5 million employees. She joined Amazon from FedEx in 2013, became a senior vice president in 2016, and in 2025 and 2026 announced the layoffs of about 30,000 corporate employees. Fortune named her to its 2026 Most Powerful Women list.

What Is Beth Galetti's Net Worth?

There is no sourced estimate. As a long-serving senior vice president at Amazon, a large share of her pay would be in Amazon stock, which vests over several years, but no financial outlet has calculated her holdings or her total wealth. None of the reporting we reviewed gave her compensation.

For those reasons we do not give a figure. The old page's number was presented as fact without any document behind it.

The previous version listed a yearly income of $2.5 million, or $208,000 a month and $7,000 a day. We found no source for it, and it has been removed. Her real pay would depend mostly on the value of Amazon stock awards, which rise and fall with the share price.

Career: FedEx to Amazon

Galetti wrote in a 2026 About Amazon essay that she started as a software developer in the transportation industry, building package-tracking and international systems. She spent close to a decade at FedEx, according to NDTV, where she rose to chief information officer for multiple regions and later ran air and ground networks from engineering to operations, Ynet reported.

In 2013 she interviewed at Amazon for a transportation job. She says the recruiter asked whether she would consider human resources instead, because interviewers had noticed how much she enjoyed talking about developing people. She joined Amazon's HR organization as a vice president and was promoted to senior vice president in 2016.

Amazon's Hiring Surge and Layoffs

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Galetti oversaw a hiring surge in which Amazon added about 400,000 employees in roughly 10 months, according to Ynet. When Amazon cut 18,000 jobs in early 2023, she said the company would still hire a meaningful number of people that year, Fortune reported.

In late October 2025 she announced about 14,000 corporate job cuts, and on January 28, 2026, about 16,000 more. In the January memo, reported by CBS News, she said the company did not plan to announce broad reductions every few months, but that every team would keep evaluating its structure. U.S. employees affected were given 90 days to look for internal roles before severance. She said the cuts were meant to reduce management layers, increase ownership and remove bureaucracy, while Amazon kept hiring in strategic areas. She also led the rollout of Amazon's full return-to-office policy.

AI and Future Ready 2030

Fortune credits Galetti with Future Ready 2030, a $2.5 billion commitment to education and skills training meant to prepare more than 50 million people for work in the AI era, and with Amazon's internal AI HR assistant, Aza, which answers millions of employee questions a month. In her 2026 essay she wrote that, 25 years after she last coded, she had used AI tools to write more than 100,000 lines of code, and that more than 1,500 people on her team entered an internal "Everyone Can Build" competition. Her own first project was a family calendar app built outside work; she then built the competition's submission app on a flight using Kiro, Amazon's AI coding tool. One employee entry, she wrote, turned a manual check that took nearly four hours into a one-second automated one.

Education and Personal Life

Galetti holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from Colorado Technical University, according to NDTV, which matches the old page. She lives in Seattle with her husband and two daughters. The old page's story about a small Midwest hometown, and its age of 47, height and weight, had no source and have been removed.

Why There Is No Reliable Estimate

Galetti's stock holdings and pay have not been totaled by any outlet, and she has never appeared on a rich list. Amazon stock awards make her compensation very sensitive to the share price. Until a reputable publication reports a figure, we do not print one.
